* Regarding Grace's TEDx Talk: The metaphor of windows and mirrors was popularized by Dr. Rudine Sims Bishop in 1990, in her seminal essay, "Windows, Mirrors and Sliding Glass Doors." In 2015, Grace received permission from Dr. Bishop for the use of the metaphor to build this talk upon. However, in hindsight, Grace regrets not directly citing Dr. Bishop in the talk and sincerely apologizes.
